What is a medical student doing in a mathematical Quiz ?

My son happily told me that he won the university Statistic Quiz and that he will be the one who will represent Liceo de Cagayan University in the inter-school competition. I was amazed! How come he was able to beat other students from the college of Engineering, Accountancy and other courses majoring in Math ?

I am sure this is God’s favor . Thank you Lord for the knowledge and wisdom given to my son!

What are Hydraulic Manifolds?

I have studies some basic ideas about hydraulics in my college days. Our shop instructor (I studied in an electrical engineering course and this is one of my subjects) introduced to us the importance of hydraulics in industrial system. Many of my classmates then are now working in big companies like Nestle and Coca Cola which I believe have the use of hydraulics in their operations.

As I refreshed my mind, I searched for the meaning of hydraulic manifolds and this is what I got: A hydraulic manifold is a manifold that regulates fluid flow between pumps and actuators and other components in a hydraulic system. It is like a switchboard in an electrical circuit because it lets the operator control how much fluid flows between which components of a hydraulic machinery. After reading about its meaning, I realized that I forgotten a lot of things I’ve learned from college . I guess it’s time to go back to the basic.
